They are named after Gustavo Manoli, who laid the foundation for Manoli Artisan Bicycle Grips in the mid-1970s.

Crafted from vegetable-tanned Italian leather, Gustavo grips are guaranteed to be toxin-free, ensuring a long-lasting, safe, and pleasant touch. Unlike cheap alternatives, our grips won't transfer harmful toxins to your skin with regular contact. The CNC-machined aluminium lock rings and hand-stitched construction with Tiger Thread enhance both durability and elegance.

Light Brown (Honey)
Honey is our lightest leather with the warm tone of honey. It pairs perfectly with matching leather saddles from Brooks, Gilles Berthoud, or Ideale and harmonizes wonderfully with strong bicycle frames, from Brompton Piccadilly Blue to Bianchi Celeste.
The leather darkens slightly over time and acquires a beautiful patina through regular use.
Red (Bordeaux)
Bordeaux is Mama Manoli’s favorite! It really is. This color has the vibrant shade of well-aged Italian Barolo and develops its full color power in combination with all green tones like Emerald Green. The leather reacts beautifully to frequent use, becoming shinier and even more beautiful over time.
We particularly enjoy the color combination of Bordeaux Red with green tones, like the Emerald Lacquer Green from Brompton
Green (Cypressa)
Our green option features the elegant shade of Italian cypress trees, so we call it Cypressa. It harmonizes beautifully with an earthy color palette. This leather color develops a patina reminiscent of antique leather products crafted for hunting, horse-riding, polo, etc. It pairs especially well with the Brompton Barbour Edition and the warm shade of Raw Lacquer Bronze.
Blue (Uva Blu)
Uva is the Italian word for grape, which gives this color its name. Uva Blu has the deep blue of Italian grapes. Our secret style tip: pair this shade with Brompton's Matcha Green. The combination is mesmerizingly elegant.
With regular use, the leather develops a slightly darker tone and gains a glossy depth, gradually resembling the rich hues of Japanese indigo.
Dark Brown (Mocca)
We call it Mocca, because it reminds us of the crema of Neapolitan espresso. It’s a vibrant dark brown, that pairs especially well with Brompton's classic British Racing Green, the raw Titan surface of a modern T-line, or as an elegant addition to Emerald Green frames.
Black (Nero)
Black, or Nero, as we call it, is our most versatile color. It fits with any bicycle frame and saddle. Initially, the leather shows some texture, but with frequent use, it will develop an elegant dark and glossy shine that looks fantastico!

The thread is the most sensitive part of all leather grips. Our thread runs below the surface in laser-machined grooves.
We use a laser engraved pattern to ventilate and auto–maintain the leather with the natural oils of your hands.
Our unique end cap design allows to have a robust and seamless leather surface around the end of the handlebars.
We use ultra-thick braided polyester thread that runs through laser-engraved channels, permanently protecting it from wear and tear.

Installing the Manoli grips is very simple and takes less than a minute. Just slide the grips onto your handlebars and tighten a small screw with an Allen key. You can find a more detailed guide here.
Occasional rain is not an issue for Manoli Grips. The durable leather handles moisture well, and regular use maintains them. For extra care, you can occasionally apply leather conditioner, but it's usually not necessary. Just avoid prolonged exposure to rain and store your bike indoors.
Yes, Manoli Grips fit on all handlebars worldwide (excluding dedicated race-bars designed for use with grip tape). The grip area of these handlebars universally measures 22.2mm in diameter. You can verify your handlebars using a digital caliper.
Our 5-year warranty reflects our confidence in Manoli Grips' quality and durability. If they break within five years of normal use, we'll repair or replace them for free.
Vegetable-tanned leather is treated with natural plant-based tannins. Unlike the cheaper chrome-tanned leather, which can be harmful due to toxic chemicals, vegetable-tanned leather is a healthier, safer option.
