Aluminum can crack—Titanium won't
Aluminum handlebars can become brittle over time due to constant stress. That’s why Brompton recommends replacing the original handlebars every three to five years to avoid safety risks. Titanium handlebars are as robust as Supermans kryptonite. You don’t have to worry about them breaking. Additionally, they are corrosion-resistant and incredibly lightweight.
Silver is the new Black
Not so long ago, all the original components on Brompton bikes were silver. Only a handful of enthusiasts opted for black anodized parts, turning heads and garnering admiration. Nowadays, however, Brompton bikes come standard with black components. And here’s the twist: Silver is the new Black!
Our handlebars are not just silver, but polished high glossy titanium. A true showstopper! This intricate finish is exclusive to Manoli Handlebars, you won't find it anywhere else.
Exclusive Colors and Unique Finish
And if the high-gloss polished titanium still isn’t eye-catching enough for you, grab some sunglasses and indulge in this uniquely rainbow-anodized titanium handlebar. Each piece is one-of-a-kind. The striking rainbow hue is achieved not through paint but through a complex anodizing process exclusive to titanium. It features a gradient with an unprecedented brilliance on a Brompton. This innovative finish is a groundbreaking first for Brompton handlebars and is available exclusively at Manoli.
The beautiful yellow Brompton bike in the photo belongs to King's Workshop in Hong Kong. Many thanks for the photos!
Quality in Every Detail, Even the Logo
Our titanium handlebars feature a particularly high-quality logo. Instead of being printed, the logo is engraved using a specialized laser process. This technique creates a slightly recessed logo that is scratch-resistant, ensuring its durability and elegance over time. This looks especially striking on both surface versions of our titanium handlebars.
Keeping an Eye on the Dimensions
The handlebar clamp diameter is precisely matched to your Brompton, so you don’t need to worry about clamp sizes.
The handlebar width is 52 centimeters, slightly narrower than Brompton’s standard handlebars. This offers the advantage of easier maneuvering through city traffic—trust me.
If you prefer a slightly wider handlebar, it’s no problem. With Manoli grips, you can simply slide the grips outward and secure them. The reduced width at the ends of the handlebars is compensated for by the grips
Häufig gestellten Fragen
How does the handlebar installation work? Will I be able to manage it?
Installing the titanium handlebar on your Brompton bike is fairly simple, but it's best to allocate around 30 minutes for the task. Start by moving all components such as brake levers and the bell sideways off the old handlebar. The brake levers can stay on the brake cables. Use an Allen wrench to loosen the old handlebar and slide it out of the clamp. To mount the new titanium handlebar, just reverse these steps and tighten the screws. If you prefer, you can also have a bike shop handle the installation. A skilled mechanic should be able to complete it in about 15 minutes.
What bikes is this handlebar compatible with?
Our titanium handlebars are specifically designed for Brompton folding bikes. The logo placement is also tailored to fit the shape of the Brompton handlebar clamp. Since the clamp diameter is standardized, our titanium handlebars also fit other bikes with a 25.4 millimeter clamp size. If you have any questions about compatibility, feel free to contact us. We’re happy to help.
Does the handlebar also come with a 5-year warranty like your Manoli grips?
Yes, our titanium handlebars come with the same 5-year warranty as our Manoli grips. This ensures the highest quality and durability, so you can rely on your bike components for a long time.
What makes a titanium handlebar special?
Titanium handlebars offer several key advantages over conventional aluminum ones: Titanium is extremely stable, meaning you don’t have to worry about handlebar breakage in the long term. In contrast, aluminum handlebars need to be replaced regularly to avoid the risk of breaking, especially near the clamp. Additionally, titanium is significantly lighter than aluminum, which noticeably reduces the weight of your bike.
What makes Manoli's titanium handlebars special is the unique finish: Both the high-gloss polished and the innovative Rainbow finish are available exclusively for Brompton handlebars at Manoli.
